If you live in an old house, i.e. one where the electricity wiring might be older than 20 years, then you might have problems using the popular WiiFi Extenders that use the electricity supply in your home.
The solution would be to use a pure Wi-Fi version that does not rely on your mains or power line wiring. BT sell a good version called the BT Mini Home Extender 610 which retails for £39.
As with all Wi-Fi broadband router extenders, they can be either simple and straight forward to get working or they can have you tearing your hair out in no time. If you need onsite help (in Cardiff) to setup these or similar devices, please contact ComputerHomeFix.
P.S. We don't sell extenders but though it would be useful to pass on details about these particular units which seem to work according to reviews and also feedback from our customers.
